Malawi - Private Rundreise

Day 1:
Arrive in Lilongwe and we collect you from the airport and transfer your hotel.

Day 2:
Depart Lilongwe after breakfast and head northwards along the M1 via Kasungu, Viphya Plateau, Mzuzu to Vwaza Marsh. On arrival check into rustic chalets and the afternoon is spent on a short walk along lake Kazuni’s shoreline.   

Day 3:
Morning activity at Vwaza Marsh – then drive through rural Villages to Nyika National Park. From the entrance of Nyika, we drive for 3 hrs through the reserve to the Camp. Game sightings are frequent along this route especially as you reach the higher plateau.    

Day 4:
Morning game drive and walk and in the afternoon a game drive or a night safari is offered.        

Day 5:
Depart back to Mzuzu and continue down into the rift valley, drive through the rubber plantations and arrival time at Makuzi Beach where rest of the day is spent exploring this beautiful part of the coast..

Day 6 & Day 7:
A day at leisure on the beach and surrounding area. Optional boat trip to a nearby Island.

Day 8:
Drive southwards along the lakeshore road to Mua Mission Cultural centre.

Day 9 & Day 10:
Depart Mua Mission for Cape Maclear, on arrival boat transfer to Mumbo Island Camp.

Day 11:
Depart Cape Maclear and drive  southwards through Mangochi to Liwonde National Park, game viewing activities.

Day 12 & Day 13:
Morning and afternoon game drives, boat safari, walking safari etc are undertaken.

Day 14:
Depart Liwonde after morning activity and drive back to Lilongwe via Dedza Pottery for a short stop.

Day 15:
Transfer to Lilongwe airport in for the international flight back home.
