Day 1: Windhoek
Windhoek, with its lingering heritage of German architecture, activities and atmosphere is a city which can be visited throughout the year. The day is spent at leisure. We are met by our guide at the hotel reception for a briefing at +-18h00. Hotel Safari (or similar accommodation, Dinner own arrangements).
Day 2/3/4: Etosha National Park
This Park is one of the most important reserves and game sanctuaries in Africa. Thousands of wild animals are attracted to the area, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, several species of antelopes, zebras, giraffes, etc. The birdlife is prolific with 326-recorded species. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives. Standard Mobile Safari (All meals)
Day 5: Owamboland
We drive through 'Owaboland' which consists of communal farming land of the Oshiwambo people. Driving by, we pass women carrying water back to their houses, while others wash and children splash around to cool off. We stop to view a giant Baobab tree that once functioned as a church. We visit the Uukwaluudhi Royal Homestead where we can experience the daily life of this village. (All meals)
Day 6/7: Kaokoland - Himba Visit Epupa Falls
The Epupa Falls are a series of cascades where the Kunene River drops 60m in 1.5km forming a multitude of channels and rock pools. A variety of birds occur in the area. We visit a Himba village to familiarize ourselves with their way of life. (All meals)
Day 8: Damaraland
An early morning drive takes us to our camp in Damaraland. The changing colours of the surrounding landscapes are enjoyed on a guided walk with explanations of the unique flora and geology of the area. (All meals)
Day 9: Twyfelfontein - Brandberg
We visit the Twyfelfontein area with walks to view the ancient Bushman rock engravings. We camp at the foot of Brandberg Mountain which is the highest mountain in Namibia. (All meals)
Day 10: Swakopmund
On our way to Swakopmund, we visit Cape Cross Seal Colony, one of the largest mainland seal colonies in the world. Swakopmund, with its German colonial atmosphere, is the principal coastal resort of Namibia. Time is spent at leisure to enjoy the charm of this old town or to undertake one of the many optional activities on offer (scenic flights, hot air ballooning, etc. own expense). Overnight accommodation in Guest House. (All meals, excluding dinner)
Day 11: Namib Naukluft Park- Moonlandscape
Morning spent in Swakopmund to enjoy optional activities or just relax in this small town. After lunch (own account) we depart to the Namib-Naukluft Park. En route we visit the Moon landscape and we stop to view the unusual prehistoric Welwitschia plant. Our exclusive camp in the desert under the bright stars of the southern hemisphere will create a lasting impression. (Breakfast and dinner only)
Day 12/13: Namib Desert - Sossusvlei
Our journey takes us south to the heart of the Namib Desert. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei stopping in the dune belt to enjoy the changing colours of the world's highest sand dunes. The morning is spent walking amongst the dunes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. On the way back to our camp we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. (All meals)
Day 14: Windhoek
We arrive in Windhoek in the early afternoon +-13h00. (Breakfast only)
